The Order of Wesley
An opportunity to assist in the worship service by lighting candles, carrying the processional cross and the lectern Bible, and occasionally carrying banners.
Sunday Morning Usher Corps
Assisting members in finding comfortable seating, assuring availability of Bible, bulletins and hymnals, and offering hospitality and help as needed, the corps of ushers helps members, guests and visitors before and after the service.
Koinonia Class
Named after the Greek word for fellowship, this non-traditional class meets for a meal followed by a lesson designed to challenge the thinking of members in the group. Social activities and service projects encourage a sense of Christian community.

Nine-to-Dine and Seven for Heavenly Deserts
Groups gather for dinner (or dessert!), fellowship, and conversation at individual homes, becoming better acquainted with one another and building friendships that prepare us to offer love and support when there is need.

United Methodist Women
Meetings in small groups, or Circles, for prayer, study, service and fellowship, augmented with regular all-member meetings and statewide mission studies. UMW undertakes many serviceprojects offering support to two agencies, Bidwell Roverside Center and New Directions Shelter for women and children. UMW co-sponors the annual Alternative Gift Market with the Outreach Committee. UMW holds a spring luncheon for all the women in the church, especially including new members.
United Methodist Men
Meeting on the second Tuesday of the month for lunch and an interesting program, men of First United Methodist Church undertake a number of work projects throughout the year, including collecting and distributing food pantry items.
