WhiteChapel Chimes

A group of fun-loving and diverse ringers who wear white gloves, blue robes, and smiles on their faces. The choir plays at the worship service on the last Sunday of the month and provides special music for Christmas and Easter.

Rehearsal: Thursdays 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Bell choirs have been an integral part of First Church's music program since April 1961, when Roger and Frances Keck ordered a set of handbells from Whitechapel Bell Foundry in England. The bells arrived in July 1963. During the long waiting period, the bell choir had been using bells owned by the Keck family. In 1981-1982, eleven new handbells arrived to supplement our exisiting set. Since then, the bell choir has had four-octave handbells and two-octave handchimes.
