You are welcome to financially support our ministry, and there are many ways to do so.
Each week during our worship services, we offer a specific time to respond to God with our gifts, tithes, or offerings.
You can also send us your offering through the mail. Please make checks out to First United Methodist Church and send it to us at 1001 Pleasant Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.
If you would like to donate regularly and want to have your offering given automatically from your checking account, you may download this form and turn it into Michelle Mathews, our Finance Manager, with a cancelled check attached. If you would like to be able to give to First Church using PayPal, please contact our Finance Manager, Michelle Mathews (michelle@dmfirstchurch.org ) and let us know. Currently we are not set-up to receive PayPal donations, but if there is enough interest we might make it possible. We have been hesitant to set up such an account because we do not want to encourage the use of credit cards. Credit card debt along with the poor practices of handling money have become a terrible and unjust burden in our culture. If you want help in learning how to control your finances, rather than letting them control you, please let us know.
