Parking is available on the north side of the church. You can easily enter the church without climbing steps.
We gather at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings in our historic and recently renovated sanctuary to experience the transcendence and majesty of God. Our service includes the best of traditional worship, with songs and carols sung from the hymnal, led by the pipe organ and choir. Our worship is rooted in weekly reading of scriptures based on the Revised Common Lectionary which means we read the same scripture texts millions of other Christians around the world on any given Sunday.
To learn more about our Sunday morning adult classes check under the Ministry and Programs tab, Sunday School.
A nursery is available for children birth through age three. The nursery is located on the lower level, Room 111. Children ages three through middle school may leave the service after a time with the pastor and go to Children's Church which is also located in the lower level, Room 112. After worship children are picked up by their parents. Click here to read our Child Safety Policy.
Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. The first Sunday of the month we celebrate Communion during the worship service. Other Sundays it is offered after worship in the Chapel.
After worship join us for a time of fellowship in Kenyon Hall (west of the sanctuary). Coffee, juice and goodies are served. Stopping by will give us a great opportunity to meet one another.
At First Church we believe that everyone has value. That is why we are a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. Click here to see the announcement on their website. We are proud that we join other United Methodist congregations who welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform our church and the world into the full expression of Christ's inclusive love. You can read our welcome statement on our home page.
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Everyone is welcome!
